Participant assessment

Receive feedback on your Plan from facilitators with over 28 years combined experience.

Workshop participants will progress development of a Behaviour Support Plan on and between each day. Participants must obtain consent to develop this Plan for a person with harmful or stigmatizing behaviour. Practical exercises are built into each day to enable participants to draft their own data collection tools, analyse their data, write assessment findings, develop multi-element intervention strategies for their person, and develop tools to enhance the implementation of their Behaviour Support Plan. Participants discuss their assessment and intervention with the facilitators at each step to maximise application of their learning to the person for whom they are developing the Behaviour Support Plan. Participants are invited to submit their completed Plan for evaluation and feedback on an agreed date after Day 4.

Each participant's Behaviour Support Plan will be evaluated against:

  1. NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework - 'Skills' for Core practitioners in 'Functional Assessment' and 'Planning' capability areas

  2. Behaviour Support Plan Quality Evaluation Guide II

Participants who demonstrate these skills in their submitted Behaviour Support Plan will be issued a Certificate of Completion.
